The medical industry has considerable requirements for the application of materials. Because of this, glass is still the most important application material in many medical fields, and blood test tubes required for medical applications are one of the typical materials.
Medical blood test tubes require a high degree of smoothness, transparency and dimensional accuracy, so glass has long been the only material used in this field. Recently, the use of MHT mold and hot current technology company mold production of PET material test blood vessels can meet all the necessary requirements, and has the advantages of light weight and non-destructive.
For this application, the development of tooling is a huge challenge, e.g. in terms of production, the ratio of small diameter to large length is quite disadvantageous to processing. Therefore, it is particularly important to select the best injection point and balance the flow of the melt. Only a precisely balanced hot current in thermodynamics and fluidity can achieve a stable production process under such a narrow wall thickness. At the same time, the MHT team developed a needle catheter that locks the needle valve by pre-correction, taking into account the requirements of high-quality water nodules.
At the core and along the mold cavity, the close-contoured mold cooling system ensures that the test blood vessels not only have the necessary dimensional accuracy, but also have low crystallization and absolute transparency. The mold surface is polished by the mirror (average roughness value RA< 0.05 acid) for smooth product surfaces.
When plastic injections are molded, water mouths are generated. If a bulging or front appears in the test blood vessels, it is possible to damage the protective gloves worn in the laboratory. For this reason, MHT has reduced the water port to the bottom of the test tube.
There is a curved lip at the mouth of the test blood vessel, which can then secure the seal plug. The dimensions of this fixed ring should meet the requirements for forced release after molding.
With less than 4g of test blood vessels, PET materials are a truly lightweight product that fully achieves the same functionality as glass products while still safe when falling to the ground.
